Your contributions are used for: Project development – Contributions go directly to projects on the ground to fund needed materials, technical assistance or applied research with our local community partners. Outreach – Most of our outreach is directly related to our project development as we assist communities with technical assistance to successfully develop, manage and maintain their own community-based conservation and development projects. Sometimes we provide training in conservation management for communities as well as local government personnel and researchers. We also organize workshops and participate in conferences in order to bring stakeholders together to provide accurate information for our partners to make informed resource decisions, to discuss common resource use and development issues, and to disseminate information to a wider audience. Conservation Enhancement grant – A small portion of each contribution is deposited in this fund as we believe the dissemination of information to local communities by people who have already worked with those communities is the most effective way to promote informed resource use decisions. Operating funds – While we minimize our operating costs, we need to ensure our high standards of project development and communication (with our community partners, collaborators, and you).
